Here I was asked to design a personal radio that would help to promote and expand the Harley Davidson brand. I researched the brand to help me get into the mindset of a Harley Davidson fan. I designed a radio to be worn whilst ‘on the road’. I styled the radio to represent the form of a Harley bike. In response to the idea of a ‘need for speed’, I decided to relate the power of the radio to the rider’s speed. I did this by powering the radio via the movement of air through the motorcyclist’s helmet. |
